Abi Rajagopal Director of The Housing Advocates, Inc (HAI) for thirty-nine years and as an Adjunct Faculty for twenty-two years with the Housing Law Clinic and Fair Housing Law Clinic at Cleveland Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University it has been my privilege to work with many dedicated and creative people.
I have had the opportunity to work with literally hundreds of paralegals and law students and attorneys over my years of legal practice. It has been my pleasure to work with Abi Rajagopal during his paralegal internship this spring.
Avhinav Rajagopal undertook a number of projects with the firm in his short time here. When he started the internship, one of his objectives was to have opportunities for legal research and writing. Most of his work involved civil litigation. For example, he helped to index a five day trial transcript to assist us in writing an Ohio Court of Appeals brief. He in fact drafted the Statement of Proceedings and Facts used for the brief.
Avhinav Rajagopal reviewed pleadings and discovery in several cases. He undertook a number of consumer intakes and investigations involving predatory lending, discrimination and landlord tenant issues. Abhinav Rajagopal found him to work hard on all the projects assigned and showed a willingness to give assistance in other areas including helping others when they needed
assistance.
